Erin Zipes built her career at the center of one of Canad's biggest tech success stories. She joined Shopify pre-IPO in 2014 as an assistant General Counsel and spent seven years there, helping build the legal function that carried the company through its listings and into hypergrowth. In 2022, she left to become 1Password's first-ever Chief Legal Officer, building its legal team from scratch. Today, 1Password serves millions users and 200,000; business customers and generates over $400 million; in annual recurring revenue. Last year it acquired Israeli cybersecurity startup Apono for $250-300M.
